Craft work

The experience of doing Craft Work has a particular therapeutic importance at Coleg Elidyr, as in most educational establishments based on Anthroposophy.

In practising the crafts, we have an ideal combination of 'thinking, feeling and doing' at work:

• The design and technicalities of the workpiece need to be assessed, and, during the work, concentration is needed
• The shape, colour and textures of the raw materials and of the transformation during the work processes call forth feelings
• The actual process of manufacturing requires skill and effort.

Coleg Elidyr provides various craft lessons: Pottery, weaving, woodcarving, metalwork, carpentry, candle making, and green woodwork.
