Coleg Elidyr is a specialist college of further education and training for students with moderate to severe learning disabilities.
We offer day placements as well as residential facilities for learners.
At our site in Rhandirmwyn, we provide an Education and Training programme with a practical approach to learning, based on a wide range of learning activities.
Our learners are aged between 18 and 25. There are two programmes:
The community consists of 8 households, where the young adults live in a family setting together with staff and their families, and volunteer helpers from all over the world.
The college is situated in the beautiful Upper Towy Valley in Mid Wales, at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains.
For those who come from further afield, we provide escorted transport to and from Coleg Elidyr at the beginning and end of each term along the M4 corridor from Severn Bridge to Hesston Services, as well as to Shrewsbury on the Heart of Wales line.
The outreach site at Victoria House, Llangadog, accommodates residents until they feel confident enough to make their next step into the wider community.
Coleg Elidyr is a member of the Association of Camphill Communities, a world-wide organisation dedicated to work with special needs.
The motto of Coleg Elidyr is "learning through doing", and our education and training programmes are experience-based.
Coleg Elidyr Camphill Communities is a charitable company, limited by guarantee, Registration No 502742
