Welcome to Coleg Elidyr
A hidden gem in the heart of the South Wales Countryside...
Coleg Elidyr is a Camphill Community College and registered charity providing further education and training for young people (aged 18 and over) with learning difficulties and disabilities.
The Camphill Movement is known throughout the world for its commitment to creating intentional communities where vulnerable people, many with learning difficulties can live, learn and work together in a healthy social environment that is based on mutual care and respect.
Each student is treated as an individual and with dignity, as we are of the conviction that beneath the outer physical disability, emotional disturbance or lack of motivation lies each individual’s own spiritual uniqueness, unimpaired and whole, regardless of disability, religious or racial background.
Our aim is to foster the development of the whole human being – body, soul and spirit – in order that each individual will develop an established identity, a greater ability to communicate and the self confidence to cope with adult responsibility.
The college is based in the beautiful rural setting of the Towy Valley, bordering the Brecon Beacons. We are within walking distance of the picturesque village of Rhandirmwyn, a few miles north of Llandovery, which is our nearest town. The area is renowned for its natural beauty which is an attraction to walkers and bird watchers.

those are the three forces which are the very nerve of education."
